Creating Student-Specific Printables for Dynamic Assignments

This feature works for any assignment with Dynamic or Dynamic and Shuffled on. It allows you to print a different version of the same assignment for each student that will match their dynamic online assignment.

If desired, students can also enter their answers into the online version of the assignment after they’ve completed the printed version, or even as they are completing it. This way, you are able to see student work while simultaneously taking advantage of the data analysis and follow-up assignments in the platform.

Written Instructions

Step 1: Create Assignment

Begin by creating your assignment in the Standards Builder, Diagnostics, Target Practice, Domain Assessments, or Targeted Intervention resources.

Once you are on your assignment settings page, be sure to turn either just Dynamic Questions or Dynamic Questions and Shuffled Order on.

Continue selecting your settings as usual. If you are planning to have students enter their answers into the online version, be sure to pay attention to things like start dates, open times, and instructional supports.

Select which students will be getting this assignment, and then click “Create Assignment.”

Step 2: Print the Worksheets

Once you are ready to print the worksheets, find the assignment in your Assignment Data page and click anywhere on the row. Then select “print.”

You will then be prompted to choose which students you’d like to make a worksheet for. You can choose by section, Learning Group, or by typing in individual student names.

Preview the worksheets or select "Create PDF."

You will see that each student’s worksheet has their name on it, and they include QR codes and an answer key specific to that student.

If you have just Dynamic Questions turned on, your students will get the same question types in the same order, but with different nouns and numbers.

If you also have Shuffled Order on, your students will still get the same question types, but with different nouns and numbers and in a different order.

You can also adjust work space, font size, and remove the QR codes.

When you’re ready, select “print.”

Step 3 (Optional)

If you want the data for this assignment in the platform, you can have students enter their answers into the platform.

When students open their online assignment, they will have the same questions in the same order as on their personalized worksheet. They can then use their printed assignment to enter the answers into the platform.
