When you first log in to the platform, you will land on your Dashboard page. To get there from anywhere else on the platform, click "Dashboard" on the top of the left-hand navigation bar:
The Next Gen Admin Dashboards offer several views of district NGM data.
You can adjust the date range at the top by entering the dates you’d like or by choosing one of the pre-designated settings.
The top portion of the dashboard shows you the total numbers of
- active students
- standards assigned
- assignments created
- And the average minutes a day students are on the platform
Stems assigned by grade level
You then have several different views.
This view shows you the number of both priority and supporting stems assigned in each grade level. The percentages show the average score and are color-coded to represent proficiency ranges. To see specific numbers, you can either hover over a grade level, or click “show values” at the top of the page.
Clicking on a grade takes to you other views, including viewing by school, domain, target, top standards, and stem coverage:
Student average minutes per day by grade
This view shows how much time per day students are spending on the platform. The “goal” line represents the recommended minimum of 10 minutes a day. Hovering over the bars shows you the exact counts per grade level as well as the number of students counted.
Clicking on a grade level takes you to other views, including viewing the minutes by school, section, daily trends, and time on the platform/scores on the platform.
Assignments by School
This view shows the number of online and print assignments created for each district school. Hovering will show you exact details. Clicking on the row or the bar will take you directly to that school’s dashboard.
Tier 2/3/Pre-post Assignments by Grade level
The next chart displays the numbers of Tier 2, Tier 3, and Retake assignments given per grade level.
The blue segments show Tier 2 and 3 assignments and the orange shows retakes. The dotted lines show the amounts of progress between takes.
Clicking on the row of any grade level will bring you to information for each school. From there, you can also view the information by standard.
Standards Progress Charts
The bottom of the dashboard page provides several more useful data views.
The default view shows progress by domain. You can change the view to look at this information by grade and standard as well.
Each progress card represents a domain, and is color-coded using the key at the bottom. The size of the box also reflects the amount of questions assigned, with the smaller boxes having the least number of questions. Clicking on the domain shows you the breakdown by grade level. From there, you can also view just assessments as opposed to all assignments.
Looking at Domain by Grade level shows proficiency by grade level and is color coded using the key at the bottom. Domains with a dark border are priority domains, and those without are supporting. Hovering over the circles provides additional information.
Clicking on Standards shows you the percentages of assignments per standard. Hovering over each progress card provides the text of the standard and the number of questions assigned.
Finally, each view–domains, domains by grade, and standards, can be further filtered by:
- All assignments or just assessments
- Grade level
- And all assigned / least assigned.
