Creating an Online Assignment in Standards Builder

Written Instructions:

1. Navigate to the Standards Builder page by using the left hand navigation bar.

2. Drag and drop your desired stems into the standards builder on the right-hand side of your screen.

3. Add more stems, or use the "+" to add more of the same stem.

4. Click "Preview" to see a preview of what the assignment will look like for students.

5. While in Preview Mode, you can see the number of questions at the top of the screen. You can navigate to the next question by clicking "Next" at the bottom of the screen. When you're ready to push the assignment out to students, click "Assign" in the upper right-hand corner.

6. In your Assignment Settings page, fill in the basic information for your assignment, such as the title and assignment date. The Start Date is the date students will see the assignment in their platform. You can also select a start and stop time as well as a due date if you'd like.

7. Decide how you want students to receive the assignment by adjusting the Dynamic Questions and Shuffled Order toggles.

8. Choose any other options you'd like for your assignment under "Additional Options."

Hovering over any of the options will provide an explanation of the feature.

9. You can select which standards from an assignment have been taught and which have not. Removing a standard from this section does not affect the assignment students will see, but it allows you to compare data once you have results.

10. The last step is to select which students you'd like to receive the assignment. You can sort by section or intervention group. The white "x" by a student name allows you to remove them from an assignment.

11. Once you select your section or intervention group, select "add all" to populate the assignment with students.

12. Finally, select "Create assignment."
