Ahhhh, March -- notoriously one of the most difficult months of teaching. Not quite winter, not quite spring. The middle child of months, if you will.

That’s why we invite you to tie those laces, grease those wheels, or slip on those slippers (we don’t judge), and join us on our March Through March. We’ve got this!

Small Changes, Big Impacts

This month we’ve got two small-but-mighty enhancements we think you’ll love.

♻️Refresh a single question

The Refresh Questions option in our printable assignments is a great tool in so many ways, and we’ve just stepped 👣 it up a bit.

In addition to changing all of the questions on an assignment, you can now refresh individual questions. Choose the exact question type or wording with a single click!

📋List-View in My Collection

You now have two ways to view assignments in My Collection

The original Assignment Card view

The newly added List View

New Features

Eyes on Your Own Screen, Please👀: Secure Browser Added

We know our students are resourceful, and we are here for it! But sometimes “resourceful” looks more like “Let me Google that real quick.”

That’s where this new feature walks👣 in.

Next Gen Math now supports a secure browser powered by Respondus LockDown Browser. When activated, students cannot open additional browsers or applications. Assignments must be accessed through the secure browser.

When enabled for an assignment, the secure browser:

Blocks access to other applications

Blocks access to links

Allows students to exit the browser only when the assignment is complete

Allows a password to be set in order for students to leave the browser

Students will need to complete a one-time download of the secure browser. Once that is complete, they will be able to open assignments that are locked.

Note: This feature will be turned off until a school or district is ready to use it. For more information or to request this feature, please have an administrator or IT email us at support@nextgenmath.com.

Mass Print Individual Student Results

Another top requested feature has arrived: the ability to print individual student reports for an entire class (or a selected number of students).

These reports are ideal for:

Teacher-family conferences

Teacher-students conferences

Student reflections

PLC data discussions

Item analysis

You are now just 2 clicks away from printing multiple reports.

If only everything were such a walk👣 in the park.

Integrated Math Domain Assessments

Our library of resources for high school continues to grow. Joining the platform this month are Domain Assessments for high school Integrated Math (IM).

These join our existing prebuilt assessment types, including:

Diagnostics

Target Practice

Domain Assessments

Summative Assessments
