Well, 2025-2026 school year, that’s a wrap!
This time of year is always a time for reflection: What went well? What would I like to change?
As you think about those questions, remember that being a teacher (or administrator, coach, etc.) is hard work. While there’s always room for improvement, there are even more reasons to pat yourself on the back.
So go ahead: I want to hear the collective sound of hundreds of educators doing exactly that. I’m waiting. 👂🏼
There you go! 👏
At Next Gen Math, we're reflecting, too—but we're also updating, improving, and creating. Expect great things in the fall!

“Stacked” Spanish Translation
Our users love our one-click Spanish translation options, and they just got even better!
Stacked Spanish means that students will have the option to see both the Spanish translation and the English without toggling back and forth between the languages.
In addition to being consistent with the SBAC accommodation some EL students will see, this change:
- Supports multilingual households – Having both languages visible helps families discuss the content together
- Supports English language development - Students can compare vocabulary, sentence structure, and academic languages across both languages
- Builds academic vocabulary - Seeing terms in both English and Spanish helps students connect concepts that may be new in either language!
- Supports mixed-language proficiency - Stacked text supports English acquisition while maintaining Spanish fluency
Bonus: If both Text-to-Speech and Spanish translation are enabled, the text can be read in both Spanish and English.
Stacked English/Spanish translation provides access to content while maintaining a bridge to the English vocabulary students will encounter in class, assessments, and future coursework.
Graphing Calculator
Not all calculators are created equal!
This is why the Next Gen Math platform has three: basic, scientific, and now graphing.
The coolest part is that the appropriate calculator for the question content automatically appears for each question. So, if a graphing calculator is needed (and you have the calculator enabled), one will be available.
However you calculate it, this is a win-win.
