Viewing and Using a Default Preset
Once you've logged in, locate the navigation menu on the left-hand side of the screen and select Conceptual Understanding. Once there, select “Subitizing.”
You’ll see a list of default presets for each of the activities, starting with the simplest and getting progressively rigorous as you move down the page.
To see what a preset looks like, hover over the tile with the title. You’ll then see a rotation of 3 sample questions, as well as information about the parameters of the preset.
To preview, present, or assign a preset, click it once.
You can now project this for a full-class activity, choose a different preset by using the drop downs at the top, or assign it to students.
Customizing a Preset
If you’d like to adjust the parameters of a preset, click “Advanced.”
Here, you can adjust details of the preset as well as the number of questions.
Clicking “Apply” will save these settings for the current activity or assignment.
Clicking “Save to My Collection” will allow you to use this preset at a later time.
You will find any saved presets under "My Presets" at the top of the page.
Creating an Assignment with More Than One Preset
You can also create an assignment using more than one preset. To do that, you will use the builder on the right. Add a preset by dragging and dropping it into the builder or by using the plus sign.
Remember that each tile in the builder is one question on the assignment.
Add additional presets the same way.
Creating an Assignment with Procedural Fluency and/or Subitizing Questions
You can also create assignments with subitizing questions as well as Procedural Fluency and/or Standards Builder questions. Once you have the subitizing questions you want, click on either Procedural Fluency or Standards Builder in the navigation bar.
You’ll notice that your subitizing questions are still in the builder. Add the Procedural Fluency questions and adjust the number of questions for each one.
You can either print or assign from here, or you can add standards builder stems the same way.
Click SB in the navigation bar, add your desired stems.
From here, you can preview, print, or assign the activity.
