The Next Gen Math PD Center offers self-paced training and practical ideas for implementation. Whether you’re getting started or looking for a new way to use the platform, you’ll find ideas to support your instruction and make the most of Next Gen Math.
Getting There
Click Professional Development at the bottom of the navigation bar to open the PD Center.
For a quick introduction, select Watch Quick Start at the top of the page. This video walks you through the basics of finding content, creating and sharing assignments, and reviewing results so you can get up and running before exploring the lessons.
Exploring the Course
For a closer look, explore Getting Started: Navigating the NGM Platform. Each lesson focuses on a practical classroom task, such as finding priority standards, creating short assignments like warm-ups or exit tickets, and using assignment results to identify student needs.
You can follow the lessons in order for a guided introduction or use the lesson titles to find an idea that meets your needs right now. Each lesson stands on its own, so you can jump directly to the topic you want to explore.
Each lesson card includes a brief description, a What You’ll Learn list, and an estimated completion time. These details help you choose a lesson that fits your goals and the time you have available. Select View All to see the full set of lessons.
Working Through a Lesson
Lessons combine short videos, interactive activities, and checks for understanding. You’ll see how features work, explore ways to use them in your classroom, and check what you’ve learned along the way.
