Accessing text-to-speech

This tutorial will show users how to enable and access the text-to-speech feature within the NextGenMath platform.

Enabling Text-to-Speech

1. After logging in, navigate to the standards builder within the navigation menu, and create an online assignment by adding stems and a title to the builder. Then select assign.

2. Within assignment settings, toggle on text-to-speech under additional options. Then add the students to the assignment, and select Create Assignment.

Accessing Text-to-Speech

When students are working through an online assignment, they will see the play audio button on the left-hand side of the word problem. By selecting the play button, the word problem will be read aloud. This feature is also accessible in Spanish if the assignment is set to display in Spanish.
